Red is not the easiest color to paint with. No matter what you do, it never prints quite as nice as you put it down… unless you’re the Brothers Hildebrandt or make regular blood sacrifices to the pigment gods. Having previously witnessed bright reds turn brown on the printed page, I was understandably apprehensive about DD’s costume on this cover. Luckily, the pigment gods were kind.
