I had penciled an issue of Return to Jurassic Park when Topps decided to shelve that title. This was a full-page flashback to the original movie. This page stared at me for a couple of years, begging to be finished. So I inked it for myself.
Sting of the Green Hornet will always be one of my fondest memories from my days as a comic artist. I was working with some really great people and was very involved with almost every aspect of the creative process. This splash page from the third issue is a personal favorite.
I finally got around to coloring this classic cover recreation. This one is really a guilty pleasure… with apologies to Jack Kirby!
BACK ISSUE magazine was developing an article looking back on our comic book revival of the Green Hornet. I decided to do an original piece for the feature. Unfortunately, it wasn’t used in quite the way I had intended. But it did provide an opportunity to revisit some of my favorite characters after more than …
Anyone who grew up in the ‘60s remembers Disney’s classic 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. I was channeling that movie when I did this drawing. Giant squids still capture the imagination. A year doesn’t go by without a new sighting or story on the internet.

I originally did this painting as a favor to my good old buddy, Ron Fortier. Ron has been writing and producing a new wave of cool, pulp-related stories and books. A third party had planned to produce a cold-cast porcelain sculpture based on this painting. Unfortunately, it never came about.
One of the many fun aspects of D&D is all the different creatures and races. You definitely need a scorecard to keep ‘em all straight. And where would such a resource be without reference images? This piece shows off a group of different human-types.
I don’t quite know why, but this piece has always been one of my favorites! I’m usually not that fond of airbrush. Perhaps it is the memory of the excitement I had for this mini-series. I came up with the plot, featuring the Golden Age Hornet, Ron Fortier wrote a fantastic script, and I got …
Mark G. from the Chicago area made one of the best commission requests of all time… and I’m sure you can see how much fun I had with this piece!
