I met a wonderful family at a comic con in Des Moines, Iowa. They had brought their dad to the convention as a birthday present. He is a veterinarian and a comic fan. Months later, his daughter contacted me about doing a drawing of her dad examining The Creature from the Black Lagoon. She said it was to be a present and that the Creature was her dad’s favorite monster. It’s mine, too! How could I resist?
